THE FUTURE OF THE ECONOMY DISCUSSED IN BANDIRMA

Economist and academic Prof. Dr. Emre Alkin shared his assessment of the major developments in the Turkish and global economies over the past three years and presented his outlook for 2026 and beyond at a meeting held in Bandırma.
The event, hosted at the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce Conference Hall, was jointly organized by the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce, the Bandırma Commodity Exchange, and the Bandırma Industrialists' and Businesspeople's Association (BANSİAD). During the program, Prof. Dr. Emre Alkin, faculty member at Topkapı University, delivered a comprehensive presentation titled "2026 and Beyond."
The opening remarks were delivered by Bahadır Çolak, Chairman of the Board of the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce. In his speech, Chairman Çolak emphasized the continued commitment of the Chamber, the Commodity Exchange, and civil society organizations to providing their members with high-quality educational and informational programs.
The event was attended by Prof. Dr. İsmail Boz, Rector of Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University; Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erçakar, Vice Rector; Hüseyin Uz, Chairman of the Erdek Chamber of Commerce, together with members of its Board of Directors; representatives of the Biga Chamber of Commerce; and numerous businesspeople and representatives of chambers and commodity exchanges from Bandırma and the surrounding districts.
During his approximately two-hour presentation, Prof. Dr. Emre Alkin shared valuable insights into global financial confidence, capital flows, investment trends, and structural imbalances in the housing market, offering participants a broad perspective on the future of the economy.
The program concluded with a question-and-answer session, an exchange of views among participants, and the presentation of a commemorative plaque in appreciation of Prof. Dr. Alkin’s valuable contribution.
