STUDENTS AND PARENTS GATHER TO LEARN ABOUT VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS

As part of the Vocational High School Promotion Project carried out by the Young Entrepreneurs Council of the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce, an information seminar introducing vocational high schools was organized for eighth-grade students and their parents.

The seminar, held at the Conference Hall of the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce, was attended by Bandırma District Director of National Education Mutlu Aslan, members of the Board of the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce, Anıl Bekdemir, Chairman of the Young Entrepreneurs Council, members of the Council, as well as eighth-grade students and their parents.

The seminar aimed to inform students and parents about vocational education, highlight the opportunities offered by vocational high schools, and emphasize the importance of developing a qualified workforce. Speakers included Bahadır Çolak, Chairman of the Board of the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce; Mustafa Söğüt, Representative of Musvanus Furniture and a member of the Chamber; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adem Dalcalı, Director of the Bandırma Organized Industrial Zone Technical Sciences Vocational School; Aysun Karadayı, Principal of Recep Gencer Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School; Şefik Açar, Principal of Bandırma Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School; and Levent Tokalaç, Principal of Hafsa Sultan Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School.

During the seminar, the speakers provided information on the vocational programs and specializations offered by vocational high schools, educational opportunities, pathways to higher education, employment prospects, and the business community’s growing need for qualified technical professionals. They also emphasized the vital role of vocational education in production, employment, and economic development, encouraging students to choose fields that best match their interests and abilities.

It was also announced that, as part of the project led by the Young Entrepreneurs Council, ten students who choose to enroll in vocational high schools and attended the seminar will receive non-repayable scholarships this year.

The seminar concluded with a question-and-answer session, followed by the presentation of commemorative gifts to the speakers.
