COOPERATION PROTOCOL SIGNED BETWEEN THE BANDIRMA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND HABITAT ASSOCIATION

Under the leadership of the Young Entrepreneurs Council of the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce, a cooperation protocol was signed between the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce and the Habitat Association to promote environmental awareness, zero-waste practices, and sustainability among children, young people, women, people with disabilities, and disadvantaged groups across Bandırma and the wider Balıkesir region.

The protocol was signed by Bahadır Çolak, Chairman of the Board of the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce, and Bora Caldu, Executive Board President of the Habitat Association.

Within the scope of the agreement, educational and awareness-raising programs will be implemented for all segments of society, with a particular focus on children aged 7–14. The initiative aims to foster environmental awareness from an early age, encourage sustainable lifestyle habits, and strengthen public awareness of environmental responsibility.

By combining the Habitat Association’s educational expertise and field experience with the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce’s strong local presence, the partnership seeks to promote a culture of sustainable living throughout the region.

The signing ceremony was also attended by Sönmez Bekdemir, Vice Chairman of the Board of the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce; Armağan Ahmet Ergüzeloğlu, Board Member; Anıl Bekdemir, Chairman of the Young Entrepreneurs Council; Sonay İl, Project Coordinator; Hüseyin Üçpınar, Operations Director of the Habitat Association; and Ezgi Bayram, Project Manager.

As the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce, we believe that environmental responsibility requires a vision that extends beyond today and embraces future generations. We hope that this partnership will serve as a model for strengthening sustainable development across our region.
