WOMEN’S COOPERATIVE INFORMATION SEMINAR HELD AT THE BANDIRMA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

The Women Entrepreneurs Council of the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce organized an Information Seminar on Women’s Cooperatives.
The seminar covered the definition of women’s cooperatives, the establishment process, the relevant legal framework, and the incentives and support mechanisms available to cooperatives.
Başak Dönmez, Trade Registry Director of the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce, provided information on the procedures and requirements for establishing a cooperative. Emine Altuğ, Specialist at the South Marmara Development Agency, and Oğuzhan Kargun, Data Preparation and Control Officer at the Balıkesir Provincial Directorate of Trade, introduced the support programs offered by their respective institutions for women’s cooperatives.
Hande Şen Kutlu and Yasemin Şahin, SME Portfolio Managers at VakıfBank, presented the Bank’s financing opportunities specifically designed for women’s cooperatives.
The event also highlighted the important role of women’s cooperatives in promoting rural and regional development. The program concluded with a question-and-answer session, followed by the presentation of commemorative gifts to the speakers.
