The latest stop of these visits—conducted to identify the needs of businesses on-site, bring the university's knowledge accumulation together with industry, and foster a culture of joint projects—was Sergo Soğutma ve Market Ekipmanları Sanayi Ticaret Limited Şirketi.
Cooling Technologies and Production Processes Evaluated
During the visit, detailed information was obtained regarding the operations of Sergo Soğutma ve Market Ekipmanları San. Tic. Ltd. Şti., which manufactures vertical and horizontal supermarket display cases, bottom-motorized display units, and custom-designed display cabinets specifically for hydroponic agricultural products.
During the meeting with company officials, production processes, current industry developments, and competitive conditions were evaluated, while potential areas of cooperation that could contribute to the business—notably R&D, project development, corporate transformation, sustainability, training, and public grants/support—were discussed.
Joint Project Opportunities on the Table
The visit featured an exchange of ideas on steps to strengthen university-industry collaboration, transferring academic know-how into production processes, and potential joint projects to be developed in the future.
The visit was attended by company executives Ümit Soy and Hatice Soy from Sergo Soğutma ve Market Ekipmanları San. Tic. Ltd. Şti., alongside BANÜ TTO General Manager Asst. Prof. Dr. Hatice Batmantaş, TTO Vice Manager Lect. Fuat Berke Gül, and Bandırma Chamber of Commerce Project Coordinator Yağmur Sungur. It concluded after a Q&A session and mutual evaluations.
