TOBB SECRETARIES GENERAL INFORMATION SEMINAR HELD IN ANTALYA

The Secretaries General Information Seminar, organized by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) for the Secretaries General of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges, was held in Antalya from 9 to 11 February 2026. Serap Uğur, Secretary General of the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce, participated in the seminar.
The meeting, attended online by M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB and the World Chambers Federation (WCF), and in person by Adem Başar, Director General of Domestic Trade at the Ministry of Trade, focused on strengthening the institutional capacities of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges, enhancing the quality and scope of their services, and discussing the latest developments in legislation and implementation processes.
Throughout the seminar, TOBB presented its ongoing projects, strategic priorities for the upcoming period, and examples of best practices. The event also provided an important platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience among the Secretaries General, while discussions centered on strengthening the institutional effectiveness and long-term sustainability of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges as key drivers of local economic development.
In his remarks, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that Chambers and Commodity Exchanges have become "project factories", highlighting the importance of continuously improving institutional capacity. He also thanked the Secretaries General for their dedicated efforts and contributions.
