PROTOCOL EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING HELD UNDER THE TOBB VOCATIONAL SCHOOL PROTOCOL

The Protocol Executive Board Meeting, established under the Vocational Schools Education Cooperation Protocol signed between the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and higher education institutions, was held at the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erçakar, Vice Rector of Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, and Bahadır Çolak, Chairman of the Board of the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce. Participants also included Armağan Ahmet Ergüzeloğlu, Chairman of the Protocol Executive Board and Treasurer of the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce; Prof. Dr. Selçuk Baş, Director of Bandırma Vocational School; Ertunç İşbay, Secretary General of the Bandırma Commodity Exchange; Halil Ferik, Secretary General of Bandırma Vocational School; Lecturers Burcu Camgöz and Ömer Doğan; and Serap Uğur, Secretary General of the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce.

During the meeting, the participants reviewed the activities carried out under the protocol and discussed collaborative initiatives aimed at preparing vocational school students in line with the needs of the business community. They also addressed the placement of students participating in the 3+1 education model in companies relevant to their fields of study during their internship periods.

Chairman Bahadır Çolak emphasized the importance of university–industry collaboration in developing a qualified workforce and stated that the Chamber will continue to support projects that contribute to students’ professional development.

The meeting concluded following the evaluation of the opinions and recommendations presented by the members of the Executive Board.
