PRODUCT SAFETY AND MACHINE SAFETY INFORMATION MEETING HELD AT THE BANDIRMA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Hosted by the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce and with the participation of officials from the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Industry and Technology Balıkesir Provincial Directorate, the Product Safety and Machine Safety Information Meeting was held.

At the meeting organized for manufacturing companies, current information regarding product safety, technical regulations, and manufacturers' obligations within the scope of Law No. 7223 on Product Safety and Technical Regulations and the 2006/42/EC Machinery Safety Directive was shared with the participants.

The information meeting took place with the participation of Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Industry and Technology Balıkesir Provincial Director Mehmet Şafak, while Branch Manager Türker Tekin Çelik, Expert Inspection Personnel Murat Zengin, Expert Inspection Personnel Tuba Zengin, and Expert Inspection Personnel Özkan Kahya took part as speakers.

At the meeting, participants were informed about the technical regulations that must be complied with when placing products on the market, the responsibilities of manufacturing companies, points to be considered within the scope of machine safety, and inspection processes.

The meeting, where the questions of sector representatives regarding current legislation and practices were also answered, concluded after the question-and-answer session held.
