Supporting Members Through On-Site Engagement

The Bandırma Chamber of Commerce continues its efforts to enhance the competitiveness of its members, develop solutions tailored to the needs of local businesses, and strengthen university–industry collaboration.

The first company visit under the cooperation protocol signed between the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce and the Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Technology Transfer Office (BANÜ TTO) was carried out at Bandırma Yağmur Makine Proje Tarım Hayvancılık ve Ekipmanları İthalat İhracat Ltd. Şti.

During the company visits conducted jointly by representatives of the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce and BANÜ TTO, businesses receive on-site assessments of their needs in areas such as R&D project consultancy, project development, reporting, institutional transformation, training, sustainability, and innovation. The initiative also aims to develop practical solutions to the challenges companies face and to identify opportunities for future collaboration.

Production Capacity and Export Vision Evaluated

During the visit, the delegation reviewed the production processes and sector-specific needs of Bandırma Yağmur Makine, a company specializing in the manufacture of machinery and equipment for the agriculture and livestock sectors and serving both domestic and international markets.

In discussions with Cüneyt Çimen, company representative, the parties exchanged views on research and development activities, the importance of project-based machinery manufacturing for agricultural productivity, innovative production processes, and the challenges associated with recruiting qualified blue-collar personnel.

The meeting also focused on the company’s development priorities, ongoing sectoral transformation, and potential joint initiatives that could be implemented within the framework of university–industry collaboration.

Visit Concludes with Productive Discussions

The visit was attended by Dr. Hatice Batmantaş, General Manager of the Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Technology Transfer Office; Fuat Berke Gül, Deputy Director of the Technology Transfer Office; and Yağmur Sungur, Project Coordinator of the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce.

The program concluded with productive discussions and an exchange of ideas on sectoral developments and future cooperation opportunities.
