ACADEMY AND INDUSTRY HAND IN HAND: MEMBER VISITS CONTINUE UNABATED IN BANDIRMA

Joint efforts implemented in collaboration between the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce and Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Technology Transfer Office (BANÜ TTO) continue to strengthen the dynamics of the regional economy. Company visits, carried out with the aim of contributing to the institutional development of members, transferring academic knowledge to the field, and increasing the competitiveness of regional businesses, are being maintained without interruption.

Carried out with the goal of elevating university-industry integration to the highest level and supporting local production potential, the latest stop within the scope of field studies was Bandırma Lazer Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi. During the visit, the company's production capacity, sectoral requirements, export vision, and strategic investments for the future were discussed in detail.

In this meaningful visit organized to guide the growth journey of our members, representatives of both institutions and the enterprise came together. The meeting was attended by Bandırma Lazer Makina officials Nazmi Balcan, Nevin Balcan, and Selami Toprak, BANÜ TTO General Manager Asst. Prof. Dr. Hatice Batmantaş, TTO Vice Manager Lect. Fuat Berke Gül, and Bandırma Chamber of Commerce Project Coordinator Yağmur Sungur.

From Local Production to Global Markets: Lazer Makina's Position in the Sector

During the visit, the production processes and strong position in the sector of Lazer Makina, which offers qualified solutions in the field of baler machine spare parts manufacturing, were examined on-site. The production quality of the company, which operates in a wide and critical product range primarily including fork gearbox, fork, flywheel, pickup, piston, and shuttle brake lining, was met with appreciation.

During the talks, not only current production activities but also moves that will increase the company's share in global markets were put on the table. In this direction, export-oriented strategies that will grow the company's foreign trade volume, the development of e-commerce infrastructure to adapt to global markets, qualified personnel employment which is the cornerstone of regional development, current dynamics of the sector, encountered operational difficulties, and solution proposals were comprehensively consulted.
