2ND BANDIRMA AGRICULTURE, LIVESTOCK, AND EQUIPMENT FAIR SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED

The 2nd Bandırma Agriculture, Livestock, and Equipment Fair, in which the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce is among the main stakeholders, was held at the Bandırma Indoor Marketplace between September 22-24 with intensive participation and visitor interest.

Having been held for the first time last year, the fair brought together representatives of agriculture, livestock, and related sectors in Bandırma in its second year. Continuing for three days, the organization hosted over 50,000 visitors, revealing that it is one of the important meeting points of the region in the field of agriculture and livestock.

All Stakeholders of the Sector Met in Bandırma

The fair hosted numerous companies and brands operating in different fields of the sector, primarily agricultural machinery, tractors, smart agricultural technologies, feed, seeds, fertilizer, greenhouse cultivation, dairy technologies, and livestock equipment.

Producers, farmers, and sector professionals had the opportunity to closely examine next-generation agricultural technologies, machinery, and equipment, see products on-site, and establish direct contact with sector representatives during the fair.

The fair also contributed to the establishment of new business connections for companies and the increase of commercial mobility in the region.

The Opening Speech Started with Macide Tan

The opening program of the fair started with a speech addressed to the participants by Macide Tan, a female farmer, entrepreneur, and company official of Agro Tan Seed Growing, one of the leading firms of the region in the agricultural sector.

In her speech, Macide Tan touched upon the contributions that organizing such an agricultural fair in Bandırma will provide to the region, the importance of fairs in the agricultural sector, and the opportunities offered by such organizations for producers and product and service providers. She stated that fairs contribute to bringing sector representatives together to closely follow new products, technologies, and developments, and to establishing direct communication and business connections between producers and sellers.

Tan concluded her speech by expressing her thanks to the institutions and organizations that contributed to the organization of the fair.

Intensive Protocol Participation in the Opening

The opening ceremony of the fair, which brought together the agricultural and commercial potential of the region, was held with the intensive participation of local administrative authorities, local managers, chamber and commodity exchange presidents, representatives of public institutions and organizations, sector representatives, farmers, and citizens.

The opening was attended by Bandırma District Governor Recep Öztürk, AK Party Balıkesir Deputy Ali Taylan Öztaylan, Erdek District Governor Hasan Göç, Manyas District Governor Mustafa Salih Bayram, Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Akın, Bandırma Mayor Dursun Mirza, Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erçakar, Erdek Belediye Başkanı Burhan Karışık, District Gendarmerie Commander Gendarmerie Major Onur Durna, agriculture writer Sencer Solakoğlu, chamber and commodity exchange presidents, representatives of public institutions and organizations, sector stakeholders, and numerous citizens.

"From Soil to Fork" Session Held

On the second day of the fair, a session titled "From Soil to Fork" was organized under the organization of Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University.

Moderated by Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Lecturer Dr. Cem Aldağ, the session featured Bandırma Chamber of Commerce Board Chairman Bahadır Çolak, Bandırma Commodity Exchange Assembly President Recep Güngör, and Bandırma Chamber of Agriculture President Süleyman Dönmez as speakers.

The session addressed the agricultural value chain extending from production to consumption, the current situation of regional agriculture, problems faced by producers, and evaluations regarding the future of the sector.

Contribution to Bandırma's Agriculture and Commercial Potential

As the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce, we will continue to take part in organizations that strengthen cooperation among producers, industrialists, the business world, and other sector stakeholders, and contribute to the economic and social development of the region, and support such projects.
